Islamic University, Al-Diwaniya
The Central Library at the Islamic University (Diwaniya Branch) hosted a scientific field trip for students from the Department of Field Crops, College of Agriculture at the University of Al-Qadisiyah. The delegation was accompanied by Assistant Lecturer Saja Jawad Abdullah, within the framework of the scientific cooperation agreement between the two universities.
The delegation was received by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Jalal Ali Hashem, and Dr. Majeed Al-Fatli. The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the systems and programs adopted by the library, as well as the mechanisms of classification, cataloging, and technical procedures for books, theses, and dissertations.
The visit also included an introduction to the borrowing mechanisms and regulations, methods of accessing electronic resources, and an overview of the various library services provided by the Central Library.
The lecture was delivered by the Director of the Central Library, Mr. Aqeel Kadhim Katea, who explained the key technical and organizational aspects of library operations, contributing to enhancing the students’ skills in handling modern scientific resources.
