Under the direct supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Jalal Ali Hashim, the Department of Islamic Financial and Banking Sciences at the Islamic University – Al-Diwaniyah Branch organized a distinguished seminar entitled “Psychological Impulsivity and Students’ Exposure to Manipulation and Blackmail.”
The seminar was attended by the Head of the Department, faculty members from various departments, and a group of students from the department. It was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Jaber Baraz Asheq, with Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Jassim Mohammed serving as the seminar rapporteur.
The seminar addressed several important topics, including the factors that make students vulnerable to blackmail, the various forms of psychological manipulation and cyber blackmail, as well as practical strategies for prevention and protection against such threats. The event witnessed active engagement and constructive discussions from the attendees, reflecting the importance of raising awareness about these issues within the academic community.
