Under the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs of the Islamic University, the Department of Radiological Techniques at the Islamic University – Al-Diwaniyah Branch organized a professional training seminar entitled:
“Scientific Research Writing.” The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Alawi Laibi Dagher, Head of the Department.
The seminar addressed several key topics, including:
- The fundamental steps of scientific research, beginning with formulating research hypotheses, selecting the appropriate experimental design, and identifying the variables and factors influencing the study.
- Defining clear and well-structured research objectives.
- Distinguishing between experimental and descriptive research methodologies.
- Statistical data analysis and the selection of appropriate statistical tests and research designs.
- Proper citation and referencing techniques in accordance with internationally recognized academic standards.
The seminar aimed to familiarize researchers with the essential stages of conducting scientific research, starting from identifying the research problem through to producing a well-structured scientific paper based on rigorous statistical analysis. It also emphasized drawing accurate conclusions and formulating evidence-based recommendations according to the significance of the variables and influencing factors under investigation.
